Robert Otterness 119 LBS and Wade Gobin 160 LBS of Cannon Falls participated in the USA Junior National Greco-Roman Wrestling Duals in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Minnesota placed 3rd in the Greco-Roman portion of the competition in the nation out of twenty teams.  see the results on Trackwrestling.com

The Mat Rats had four state champions in the Greco-Roman Division and four other finalists who took 2nd place.  In Freestyle the Mat Rats had two champions and three 2nd places.  Dylan Craig and Billy Henslin won their first state titles.  Paul Fitterer and Drew Lexvold won their 2nd state titles.  Craig and Lexvold were double champions.  Drew also became a triple crown winner.  He won the MN/USA State Folkstyle, Greco, and Freestyle titles.  The next event for the wrestlers is the Northern Plains Kids Regional Championships in Grand Forks, North Dakota June 5-7.  Also, finalists qualify to wrestle in the Minnesota/Wisconsin All-Star Duals on May 17.
Overall, as a team the Mat Rats finished 3rd in Greco-Roman and 6th in Freestyle based on classification points.
